Once you have taken in the beauty of the Vineyard, you can explore the local area. The River Crouch is a haven for wildlife, where you can stroll along the sea wall, watching sailing boats from Burnham and wildfowl and wading birds that live on the salt marsh and river.
Nearby local town Burnham on Crouch can be reached either by car, train or a walk along the sea wall from Althorne Marina, it offers a variety of boutique shops and pubs. Whilst in Burnham you can take the ferry to travel to the RSPB nature reserve at Wallasea Island, and enjoy watching the seals sunbathing on the banks.
The historic market town of Maldon a short drive away has several interesting features including restored London Barges, quaint cafes, local shops, traditional pubs and taprooms as well as lovely walks along the River Blackwater

Excellent lunch, friendly service, wonderful venue. Recommended.
Very pleasant, sitting on Veranda, overlooking vines and river drinking Crouch Ridge sparkling white wine. I can definitely recommend it.
Lovely vineyard that does wine tasting and food. Relaxed atmosphere and nice way to spend an afternoon.

"Super place for a catch up with friends"
Super place for a catch up with friends: big outdoor deck overlooking the Vineyard with the Crouch valley in the background . Lovely salad and the Rose was delicious!
Visited today for a tour, tasting and deli board and would thoroughly recommend. Fabulous location, staff very friendly and attentive and delicious food 10/10 from us.
Unexpected gem while exploring Essex. Quality wines and we were lucky to get a tour with some samples. Sparkling wine comparative to well known wines like Cava or even Champagne
